Not sure how many of you folks missed the memo or something, but apparently, Hanukkah is now nine days long. Thanks, Bill-o.

Unknown said...: Did I ever tell you about the girl I stayed with as a prospective
student at Connecticut College?.... It was for the Open House, which fell during Passover. She spent most of the time trying to convince me that Passover was 10 days long. She fought me on it, insisting that her family has always celebrated it that way. I knew she was worng, and also discovered over the course of the two days that she was a freak.
I think it's the main reason I didn't go there. Only now, as I write this, do I realize the irony of having gone to Brandeis instead.
